Supercar was a children’s TV series that was Gerry Anderson’s first major puppet TV production, a fore-runner for his more well-known Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, Stingray and others. There were 39 episodes in all and aired on British TV from January 1961 through to April 1962. The series were heavily promoted through sponsorship, special shows, a Supercar club and plenty of merchandise, now very collectable but hard to find. This badge was issued to members of the Supercar club in 1962. The badge is in fantastic condition, it is still very bright and clean with no signs of any chipping, and the pin is still fully working.
