Vintage The Ian Allan Book Of Trains. Released by Ian Allan Publications in late 1958, as part of their series of books on trains and is written and illustrated by R. Barnard Way. This fantastic vintage Book Of Trains is for rail enthusiasts, detailing various steam trains that were in operation on Britain's railways at that time. This book is in very good condition over all, which is amazing considering it is now over 60 years old, the front and back covers are nice, bright and colourful, with only some very minor signs of wear on the edge tips, but the front cover is bowed slightly. The spline is also in very good solid condition again with only minor signs of wear on the top and bottom edges. Internally the book is in very good condition, all 64 pages are present and attached, they are all clean and bright without any form of writing or damage on any page with the exception of some light pencil marks on the first page inside the front cover. The book has not been price clipped, it still shows the original purchase price of 6/- on the bottom corner of the first page. A truly fantastic example of a vintage train book from 1958.
